Like others have said here, MPEG is pretty basic and should not be a separate purchase. Since I did not buy directly from Cyberlink they essentially locked me out of the program I had been using for years. These features had been included in my liscense but no longer worked. They have "free and easy" plugins for MPeg output and disk burning, but you have to "activate" those features. It was pretty easy to use.īut when I updated the desktop to Win 8, PowerDirector no longer worked correctly. It was handy for video editing without a Mac and did a good job. I purchased PowerDirector (Pro) for my desktop several years ago.
